My Gift from the Kindergarteners
I received a special delivery the other day from Ms. Del Papa's Kindergarten Class.
It really did surprise me!
This was my "Thank you" from the class for
helping out this year.
I volunteered on Tuesday afternoons.
Ms. Del Papa kept me very busy
I'm really going to miss this Kindergarten Class!!

Making Blackberry Jam
When we got home from picking blackberries, Jade and I decided to use my new canning stuff to make blackberry jam!! :)

Yummy - blackberry Jam!
Jade and I did a great job making blackberry jam for the first time. We had one flaw. The cans didn't seal completely but according to the directions that was ok. You just had to keep them in the fridge. Since they didn't seal, I can't mail any! :( Sorry to family that is far away! Next batch!
The jam tasted really great! Mark noted that it was a tad sweet. Note to self, cut back on the
sugar a bit!
We had so many blackberries left over I had to freeze them. Jade and I will again attempt
the making of jam!
Blackberry Picking
A few Saturdays ago, my friend Connie posted on Facebook that she had an abundance of blackberries in her backyard. I asked if she was willing to get rid of a few. She said, come on over! So, the girls and I ventured to her house for some blackberry picking. Connie's backyard wall was filled with vines of blackberries. We spent about an hour picking! It brought back memories of when my dad planted
blackberries against our backyard wall. It grew like crazy!

Elementary Open House
Last week was Elementary Open House for Bud, Jade and Briggor. This was Bud's last year since he will be graduating from 6th grade next week.
This paper is titled "What's on girl's minds?" LOL Will post the contents of this term paper when it comes home!
