Jade
Jade, our youngest daughter, who is 9, has been on my mind a lot lately. Mostly out of frustration, trying to "figure her out!" so to speak. I believe Jade was born in the wrong era. She should have been born in the 70's when everything was care free and natural. She runs in a different time zone then the rest of us. Here's what I am talking about,,,an example: She is the last one to fall asleep at night....just talks and talks and talks, makes sounds, noises, etc. She is usually the last one up in the morning and just non-chalantly moves about the house not getting ready like she is suppose to on a school day. There are many morning she is literally running out of the house, hair all messy, pulling socks and shoes on while balancing a backpak, running for the bus. I have tried and tried to keep her on a time schedule and I fail every time. I have come to the conclusion that I must allow her to "fail" to find that she has to find the right time zone for her. The last few mornings have been difficult for me. I catch myself before I say to Jade "go get dressed, Jade!"; "go brush your teeth, Jade!"; "hurry up with your breakfast, Jade!"; stop watching TV, Jade!" I am allowing Jade to form her own morning routine. She needs to learn how to manage her time. Somewhere in here she is going to learn to get with it in the mornings. I hope so...it is sooo frustrating!

Girls Lunch
God blessed me with great friends....Kier, Marcee (who is holding baby Brianna) and Karin.
This is Kier. People think we look a look alike!!! LOLThe last few days here the temp has been hovering close to 100 degrees. I was so looking forward to yesterday. Mygirlfriends and I usually go out to lunch once a month at a restaurant. This time, I invited them to my house! 3 out of the 4 of us have kids around Briggor's age. They couldn't wait to play in the pool. My girlies and I had a nice lunch and then sat around the pool watching the kids splash! It was great fun! I think we are planning a potluck lunch for next time!
