Disneyland 2012 (part 1)

Last Wednesday, the kids were woken at 5am.  They were told they had 1 hour to get ready and then we were leaving for Disneyland!!  They kids were so exicted.
We usually try and plan a trip in October so today was the day.

First was a trip to Starbucks....mostly for me because I don't function in the morning without
my coffee but the girls ended up getting a little pick me up too!

First stop, California Adventure - the new Cars Land!

My kids are sure growing up!  They aren't little anymore.

Our first stop in California Adventure was Cars Land for Briggs.
He has seen all the commercials and wanted to visit Radiator Springs himself.

Route 66 Radiator Springs!

Our first ride of the day, tractor tipping!! :)

The teenagers ran off to ride the big rides.  They wanted to ride California Screamin' roller coaster but it was closed.  So they headed to The Hollywood Tower of Terror.  It takes you up 13 stories and free falls
you down to the ground.

Hangin out - waiting for us to get off the ride!

Next ride, Flying Tires!  It is sort of like Air Hockey on crack.
You sit in a giant inflatable tire on a floor of air.
Cool idea but it needs improvement.

My handsome Hubby.....see the bear in the background.
Husband = Grizzly Bear

After California Adventure, we spent the afternoon in Disneyland.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.
Weather was perfect.
Not too crowded.

First ride in Disneyland, Pirates of the Caribbean.

I love this shot of my family!

Our next ride....The Haunted Mansion

More pictures and stories to come.....

Briggor's 7th Birthday

Where has the time gone?  Another year older, Briggor turns 7.  He isn't my baby anymore.  He is quite a little man to me.   He is growing up too fast but is so charming and funny.   I picked up Briggor early from school on Tuesday.  We enjoyed a little mommy and me time while we went to get his birthday cake.  Briggor opened his presents before we went to dinner. Skylanders are the video game/collectibles of the generation at the moment.   Briggor loves them!  So, his dad bought a few new ones for him. He also got a Razor Flash Rider 360 scooter which he LOVES LOVES LOVES!
Then the family went to BJ'S Brewhouse for dinner and came home for cake!!!

Via Arte - Chalk Art

After the Pumpkin Patch and time at home, we jumped back into the car to head to
The Marketplace.   This shopping place is not too far from our
house.  This weekend was the annual Via Arte Festival.

We told the kids to get in the car and
we headed out again.

The chalk festival runs Saturday and Sunday.
Local children as well as talented artists
participant in the event.

PUMPKIN PATCH

Today was our annual pilgrimage to Murray Family Farms out on Highway 58 on the way to Tehachapi.
We, as a family, have been going out here for the last 5 years.
It's amazing to see how our kids have grown and how the place has grown.
It was a beautiful morning at the pumpkin patch.
We had no cell phones, no distractions.  Just us!
We enjoyed lunch outside on the farm and
we played.
The kids love to jump on the Giant Pillow.
They compete to see how high they can go.
Who can wrestle, who.
Who can do the best tricks.
It's fun to watch them.

 My beautiful children.
Boy, are they growing up so fast.
This is always a rare picture of Mark and I.

One of the events of the day....face painting and tattoos.

Another pic of my kids.

The kids always love this race.  Rubber ducky races!!

 Pick your own pumpkin patch.
We take a hay ride by tractor out to the pumpkin patch.
We even spent a little time in the petting zoo.
Mark and I got in the car and thought of the same thought.
As the kids are getting older, we are talking about grandchildren.
Someday......we hope to bring our grandchildren
out to the pumpkin patch.

Here's another pic of us!!
