Last Saturday, I had a routine mammogram (my second in my life). I really do not like those tests but I am intelligent enough to know that they should be done. By Wednesday, I was back at the dr's office with one of our daughters when the nurse said to me "Did you get my voicemail message?" which I didn't since she called my house phone and I rarely answer it. She had some concern in her voice and said to me that I needed to get an ultrasound done and another mammogram on my left breast. I asked why and they said the picture didn't come out so they wanted to do it again. I didn't have a good feeling about this. What made me more concerned was that the dr's office MADE the next appt for me which was two days from when I spoke to them. Makes you wonder, huh? So, the next appt was scheduled for Friday morning - 6 days after the first mammogram.
Friday morning came, I was glad that I have been busy and did not really dwell on it. I went into the office for the mammogram and the tech informed me that my mammogram came back with "something" unusual and that they had to take another look. :( You could probably tell at this point I was not happen. We have so much stuff going on in our lives right now. I did not want another "something" to slow us down. So, I participated in another mammogram, now worried. Then it was off to ultrasound. It was more extensive then when you have a baby. It took a long time. All the while, I am trying to watch the screen to see if I can see anything. She looked at me and said all done, please lay here, I need to take these to the dr. Ok, panic is now setting in with me. I laid there and just talked with God for a moment. I accepted the fact that there was a possibility that something was wrong. I accepted the fact that He was in control. We talked. Immediately a bible verse came to my mind...."Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path." I must have said that bible verse over and over and slowly I calmed down. I must have been there with God for about 15 min, eyes closed, trying to build up the courage to accept what would be told to me. I did not want to wait all weekend wondering what the results were going to be.....
The tech came back in. She noticed the stress on my face. She smiled and said to me, I've been where you are. The next comment totally floored me. My mouth dropped open. She looked at me and said......You didn't hear this from me - but the dr found NOTHING! The results will be confirmed by your dr next week. I couldn't believe it! Of course I didn't hear it from her - I heard it from God THROUGH her! AMAZING! I just welled up with tears and smiled. I said thank you and left the room. God and I walked out of the office together yesterday. God is good! He is my friend. I trust Him and know that He is the ultimate person in my life. I had a talk with Him in the car on the way home. I apologized for not spending the time with Him this last week that I should be spending with Him. He came and stood by me even when I didn't give Him the time this week. When things get really hard, overwhelming at times. It's time to lean on the Lord for help. He's there waiting...waiting for us to just ask for a life line! I was drained from emotions and totally elated at the same time. My faith in my Lord just became stronger yesterday! and Yes, I will MAKE the time to spend it with Him.

It's been so long....
It's been so long since I wrote in my blog. I'm sure you've stopped looking but maybe if you are now reading this, you have come back one more time to see what I have been up to. I believe it's been since the middle of January since I last wrote. Time sure does fly doesn't it. It is already the end of February. Where did it go?
So much has been happening in our family I just haven't had the time to write or truthfully haven't wanted to write.
But, I think I may start again....
