Useless Information
One of my favorite candy companies is See's Candy. They are unique! They have been around for a very long time. It was always special to receive See's Candy for a special occasion. One memory I recall was always receiving Valentine Chocolates from my dad every Valentine's day. I remember coming home from school to find a See's Candy Valentine heart waiting for me on my bed. I loved that! My dad was my very first Valentine.
I was mailed a flyer for See's Candy and it had some interesting facts regarding the company. I would like to share them with you:
- Mary See was born September 16, 1854. Her very own black and white checkerboard kitchen inspired the design of See's Candies shops.
- See's is one of the few remaining manufacturers that ages its chocolates for a smoother, mellower flavor. (That's why it tastes so good!)
- Mary's own original homemade recipes are still used by See's today. (if it's not broke, don't fix it!)
- On July 18, 2012, See's Candies set the Guinness World Record for the "World's Largest Lollypop"
- The first See's Candies shop opened in Los Angeles in 1921.
- Everyone who visits one of our shops is offered a yummy piece of candy to try. (I think this is the best part of going to the actual shop!)

Chemo-Brain does exist?
This is a great article regarding chemo-brain. It does exist. Doctors are finally listening to patients. I did experience this result from chemotherapy. It was too severe but it did frustrate me at times. I had it during and for quite a few months after chemo was over. I don't believe it is happening anymore. At least, I don't recall it. I am blessed that the chemotherapy did not damage me as much as some people. Please be patient with people during treatment and after treatment.
